This course is for
Adult students (over the age of 17) who have completed Levels A, B and C (or have the equivalent basic knowledge of Chinese) and can conduct a basic conversation in common Chinese.Duration
Spoken Chinese Level 7: 15 weeks.
Spoken Chinese Level 8: 15 weeks.
Course structure and goals
The course focuses on enhancing comprehension skills, with special attention devoted to conversational Chinese. Students practice the use of new vocabulary and sentence structure. Each class is comprised of a reading session and a discussion session. Through reading literature, students improve their comprehension and enhance their vocabulary. By conducting discussions, students improve their speaking skills and listening comprehension.
Homework assignments are given every week, as well as a list of new words learnt in class. The class meets once a week and students are required to complete homework assignments sent by the teacher after each lesson.
At the end of the course the student will
