This course is for
Adult students (over the age of 17) who can conduct a basic conversation in common Chinese.Duration
30 weeks.
Course structure and goals
The course focuses on correct sentence structures, which form the solid foundation for proper speech. At the Beginners B level, approximately 200 new characters and 450 new words are added to the basic vocabulary already acquired in Level A. Students are also taught to write these new characters.
Homework assignments are given every week, as well as a list of new words learnt in class. The class meets once a week and students are required to complete homework assignments sent by the teacher after each lesson.
At the end of the course the student will
| Be able to exchange information in simple day-to-day situations in a more confident and fluent way, maximizing the 850 Chinese words already acquired in Levels A & B, and using more advanced grammatical structures. | |
| Know how to construct correct sentences in Standard Mandarin. | |
| Be more confident and fluent with Chinese tones and pronunciation. | |
| Be able to read and write 200 new Chinese characters. |
